I have a gay friend a few years younger than I am. He recently told me that although he’s generally non-judgmental and prefers to live and let live, he can’t help rolling his eyes at imaginary character pronouns.

Whether or not you believe ghosts are imaginary, anyone should have been able to see that affirming everyone’s personal belief about what they are, rather than what they are actually are, was headed here. People who believe gender is a ghost would inevitably end up in arguments with people who believe they’re a dragon so "respect my pronouns." When there is no logic, what logic could prevent it?
