I was a regular Photoshopper on the Fark forums back in the day and that’s where I first ran into the concept of Florida Man. There was an entire tag devoted to Florida news.

This is a marvelous state. You might walk out your door and see an alligator or a cluster of sand cranes standing in your yard. Tropical thunderstorms stir up every afternoon in July and there’s a palm tree in every yard.

But we don’t have a corner on nutty behavior. I lived in Savannah, GA for several years where a local paper published detailed arrest stories and Florida Man has nothing on Georgia Man. The truth is Florida’s Sunshine Law is a welcome insight into the same human foibles happening all over America.
