When you work in comics, you see all of the most progressive ideas out of academia before everyone else. I knew serious mission creep was underway when fellow creators began repeating the phrase "Trans women are WOMEN." As in, there's no difference? None at all? And if you notice that it takes surgeries and the embrace of gender stereotypes to get there, YOU'RE the crazy one. Noticing a difference is bigotry? Gaslighting beyond the pale. Misgendered is a crime now.
