Book Ban

Google briefly labeled my website as a dangerous phishing site and threw a warning label in front of it. I couldn’t find a reason for it and when I submitted the url to their own inputs for more details, they declared the site clean. After a few hours the warning disappeared.

I’m not so delusional I think Google is actively targeting me, we’re just too small an operation. It did get me thinking about how vulnerable all of our websites are. Even if we have a defiant host, even if we still have our own host, the power to display our information is in the hands of monopolies who can’t wait to shut us down. Like a book ban.
