Often a punchline isn't really a punchline, it's just what happened. This is an accurate description of multiple news articles I've seen this week including this one. The Snopes fact check that acknowledged the entire video interview, otherwise known as objective truth, is now actively trying to get Trump elected somehow, after lying about the situation for seven years.
Snopes Fact Check Panel 1:

Taylor: Snopes now says Trump did not call white supremacists "very fine people."
Vickers: Those lying bastards!!
